The Best of Times to Donate is The Month of Ramadaan
COVID-19 has impacted all our lives. Many are at home. Schools and businesses have been closed until further notice, and some have been put out of a job. These are trying times for the world for sure. This pandemic has made life as we know it, unknowable.
But, this is not a time to mope about what’s next for us. We still have now, and we still have things to be grateful for Allahumma Baarik. Most of us still have roofs over our heads and food to eat. Although all of our situations have changed, we still have more than others. Now is the best of times to help those less fortunate than us. Ramadaan has arrived and more than ever the people in Kumasi Ghana are struggling due to the coronavirus.
How can you help? You can help by donating whatever you have, whether small or large. See…that’s the great thing about charities and donation, it does not come with a price tag. Whatever you give is enough.
Eyes of Light are trying to raise 5,000 euros to help feed the people of Kumasi this Ramadaan. So that they may have a proper Ramadaan. This is POSSIBLE by the will of Allah. This reminds me of an African Proverb “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Together we can go far in this cause. Together we can accomplish this goal In Sha Allah.
Why is this the best time to give? Charity during Ramadaan is better than charity at other times. It is prescribed for Muslims to give a great deal of charity during the month of Ramadan. Whatever good you do in this holy month are multiplied, the gates of paradise are opened and the gates of hell are closed.
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was the most generous of people and he was at his most generous during Ramadaan.” - Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6; Muslim, 2308
We can do with the extra good deeds in our books. You can’t go wrong, my brothers and sisters. Let's grow together.
